...Another Freaky Friday
Published on January 2, 2004 By deputyclerk In Blogging
Well, here it is...Friday...Freaky Friday...I should be at work, but the falling snow continues and the icy roads prohibit travel..So, I'm here. And, I love it. In Tacoma, there are not many times when a person can say it has "snowed" for two straight days. heheheh...Coool huh? Although I stayed home with the kids, the wife went to work. I'm 17 miles away and she is just 3 miles away. She doesn't mind the drive in her new mini-van and I don't mind staying home...today. There is no way on God's green earth that I could stay home day after day after day being a house dad. Once in a while is fine, but not a full-time gig.

Since it's been snowing, we've watched TV and movies way more than normal. Not a bad thing. Love spending time with the family, regardless of what we may be doing. And, because we've all been home together, we've pitched in and held a massive chore day. The house is so clean, all we can do is relax and sit back.

Yesterday, the wife made a killer pot of homemade chili, too. That was dinner last night and lunch today. Yum. Now, it's my turn to come up with a dinner for her tonight. Hmmm..What to make. We'll see what the freezer holds and take it from there.

I've decided to hit church more frequently in 2004 than I have in the past couple years. Since leaving the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, I took time away to try and re-group and focus and figure some things out. Not getting much clearer, I've decided to hit a mainstream church and see if I can learn and grow there. I've tried the Tacoma and Puyallup Foursquare churches so far as well as Kent's own Calvary Chapel South. All have been good, and the people at the Puyallup Foursquare have been the warmest, kindest and most accepting. I'll probably go back there...especially since I have at least two friends (outside of church) who attend there!

~chuckles~ In Spokane we have gotten over a foot of snow last night. I drive pizza delivery at night and the snow was so high my car was shoveling it up over my windshield. Tonite it will be worse with 50 mile an hour winds. There were times last night that all I could see was white. I couldn't even see the road ~laughs~ At least everyone realized that and they were tipping extra nice last night :0) Yeah I know you people over on the west side don't deal with a lot of snow unless you hang out at Snoqualmie heehee. I'll be driving pizza from 5:30pm till 2am tonite upon the roads of black ice death ~grins~ I actually love driving in dangerous conditions it gives me a rush!
